Adventure Awaits.
I’ve been in India for three days now. Although, Mumbai was not my ideal destination of choice, it certainly was the wisest. This being my second time visiting India, I know how intense and overwhelming it can be for anyone. In fact, I was freaking out weeks before I even got here. Surprisingly enough, I’ve felt really good.
I chose to stay in the Fort area, here in Bombay. I figured, as a solo female with no fixed plan, I could do well with meeting a few like-minded travelers. I even chose a hotel called “The Traveller’s Inn,” which is a great option for those on a budget. Accommodation tends to be pricey around here. While the hotel was a great choice, I haven’t quite met many other travelers. Stepping out, I often find myself being the only foreigner on the streets, which is OK. Here in Mumbai, people don’t stare as much, the streets are less confusing and no one is hounding you for a sale or a taxi.
It’s time to move on, though. Having just come from New York City, I’m not only craving warmth, I want nature and serenity. With that said and after much deliberation, I bought a train ticket to Kerala today! It’s a 30 hour ride, which I’ll probably kick myself in the ass for later but life is about the journey, not the destination, right? Maybe I can find a good place to volunteer my time for the good of the world. I look forward to sharing this next adventure!

La aventura me espera
He estado en la India durante tres días. Aunque , Mumbai no era mi destino ideal de elección, sin duda fue el más sabio . Esta es mi segunda vez visitando la India, y se lo intenso y abrumador que puede ser para cualquiera. De hecho, me estaba volviendo loca semanas antes de que yo llegara. Por sorprendente que parezca, me he sentido muy bien.
Elegí quedarme en el área de Fort, aquí, en Bombay. Me imaginé, como una mujer a solas con ningún plan fijo, podía hacer bien con quedarme en un lugar con otros viajeros de mentes parecidas. Incluso yo elegí un hotel llamado ” Inn de El Viajero “, que es una gran opción para aquellos con un presupuesto. Alojamiento tiende a ser caro por aquí. Mientras que el hotel fue una gran elección , no he conocido a muchos otros viajeros. Al salir, a menudo me encuentro que soy la única extranjero en la calle, lo cual está bien . Aquí, en Mumbai, las personas no miran tanto, las calles son menos confusa y nadie te está acosando para una venta o un taxi.
Es hora de seguir adelante, sin embargo. Acabo de venir de la ciudad de Nueva York, no solo antojo calidez, quiero la naturaleza y la serenidad. Con decir esto y después de mucha deliberación, he comprado un billete de tren a Kerala hoy! Es un viaje de 30 horas, que probablemente me voy a patear a mí mismo en las nargas más adelante pero la vida se trata del viaje, no el destino , ¿verdad? Tal vez pueda encontrar un buen lugar para ofrecer mi tiempo para el bien del mundo . Espero poder compartir esta nueva aventura!
